[Feature Request] Revising a Posting

#1

Post by jim-fairfield »

Hi to our Forum Admin,

I would like to revise a posting in the "France" folder that I did around 6 months ago. Over time I tend to make improvements to my articles (which I also use for my album). I have thought about this and I see two possibilities for this:

1. I could ask you, as Forum Admin, to delete the older version of the posting before or after I post the new version of it.

2. I could keep the older version around and just make a second posting of the same, but improved, article and place a hyphen and the word "Revised 4-25-21" at the end of the postings name (or use whatever is the current date).

Disadvantages of each: The disadvantage of deleting old postings (Option 1) is that we lose also any old comments from others that may be attached. The disadvantage of keeping both old and new postings (Option 2) is that we keep around older, somewhat duplicated material.

I like Option 1 better, but I'm fine with both options.
